The product portfolio of the joint-stock company Gumotex consists of several apparently not relating product groups, thanks to that the company Gumotex, a.s. is split into three separate divisions.
Division 1 – Mattresses
makes mainly bed mattresses. In the past the manufacture of polyurethane foam was an important part of this division, however this was carved out of the company´s activities in September 2007.
Division 2 – Automotive Accessories
makes foam cushions for the seats, head rests, sun visors and other small car interior parts.
Division 3 – Rubber and plastics
manufactures inflatable mattresses, surface-treated textiles, rubber mixtures, inflatable boats, rafting boats and further special products, such as tents with inflatable structure and elements for the integrated rescue systems, life rafts for emergency survival on water and others.

Brief history
1950 – Opening of the first workshops in Břeclav
1952 – Company assumes the name GUMOTEX
1956 – Manufacture of inflatable leisure time products
1991 – Transformation into the joint-stock company
1994 – Manufacture of rescue system products was launched, distribution under the trademarks of foreign customers
1995 – Certification ISO 9001
2008 – Products for rescue systems under the brand Gumotex Rescue Systems were introduced
